As small electronic devices with fairly sensitive electronic components encased in a durable plastic case, it is wise to handle your pedometer with care. Do not swing the pedometer while you are jogging or walking since you could be injured. Do not try to disassemble the pedometer or place it in water. They are not waterproof and you should not use solvents or abrasive cleaning fluids to clean them. Wiping them with a damp cloth from soapy water will get them clean. Do not step on them or subject them to a severe shock. Lastly, do not subject them in direct sunlight, high temperatures, high humidity or dust.
Ensure your pedometer is not accessible to children who may swallow the battery and do not throw the battery into a fire. It may explode. Older children should be advised to handle their pedometers with care.
